Many infants can survive well into adulthood with both surgery, non-invasive treatment and medical management. However, in many cases, especially when it’s a critical and rare case, mortality is quite low. We hope that with more advancements in research, better treatments and management can be developed, prevention can occur, and the eradication of CHDs will eventually become a reality. Our focus when it comes to CHDs is Hypoplastic-left-heart Syndrome (HLHS), which was the rare case diagnosed for John “Jack” Dimitri, whom this foundation was named after. Join us in this cause, so we can help advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of CHDs.
