Letter from Riley Children’s Hospital, Indianapolis – Updates on the fund that was established to help pediatric heart-center nursing at Riley Children’s Hospital, Indianapolis.

Three CVICU RNs attended the Neoheart Conference: August 3-6. Conference provided educational programs for those interested in the field of cardiovascular management of the Neonate. The staff were fully covered by philanthropic dollars. 

Five RN”s attended the Midwest Pediatric Cardiology Conference which is an annual meeting bringing providers from Heart Centers and Children’s Hospitals across the Midwest. Planned for an audience of physicians, nurses, and medical staff, the annual conference of MWPCS includes a review and discussion of state-of-the-art pediatric cardiology and cardiovascular surgery as practiced at major Midwest medical centers. The topics of discussion included congenital heart disease, research and transplantation; cardiac catheterization, intervention, and electrophysiology; cardiovascular surgery; and non-invasive imaging including echocardiography.
